Road
Aura of mystery swooping down the hushed lonesome road. Half step forward I could feel what was forsaken behind aversely. I was charmed, in love with the unkind night which bestowed misery upon me. Footsteps stopped without I knowing why - down on one knee I grabbed small pebbles on side-road and squeezed them to extend. Frail eyes could sense the pain and muffed to hold it anymore, without notice, they dripped the pain on the closed hand. That tear made me open my hand, and free those pebbles. It did hurt - even after all what happened bypast. I glanced back and then ahead - a mirror image of road. An unwilling but satisfying smile on my face as I stood up and started walking on road, anew. I walked on whispering to myself: It will always hurt the same way, so why worry what happened in the past; there's still road ahead of you!

aww....vicky....you created magic with this one ....
you made me cry....
love it... love it.. love it...
the light of the sun is not able to diminish the darkness spread on the skies and the long road still keeps going on for eternity, wow, what an amazing concept in the pic. love it. We have to forget about past, BUT, only if we learn lesson from it and dont repeat that mistake willingly.
Mehwish::: Aray, phir se?!
Omair::: Thanks - you always get the hidden message! Thumbs up ;)
anonymuis::: Thanks eh! ;-)
did you start volunteering anywhere???? like extracurriculars?
hey vicky nice post dude
did you take the picture?
i LOVE that picture!
and worrying about the past is necessary... if we let it go we'll repeat it again and again. i can never let go of my past, i'll walk the road leaving a mark behind so i can retrace my steps if i ever need to. :)
ajay::: Thanks a lot ;)
unspecified anonymous::: No - I wish! Somewhere in Australia! I just wanted to post stuff that's strictly mine, but unfortunately this picture isn't. I had to include the picture, it created that feel to the post! :o)
mahnoor::: Ah! you're right! I think we should learn from our past but don't make it a present sorrow. Picture's nice eh? It's somewhere in Australia!
suleman::: yeah you never know what's ahead of you. Past is good to learn lessons from; and make your present and future better ;)
This picture should have been titled timeless. As it shows continuity.
It is awonderful post, I am not sure why you want to reads it like a prose paragraph. I would read it more like a poem:
Aura of mystery
Swooping down the hushed lonesome road
Half step forward
I could feel
What was forsaken behind
Aversely I was charmed
In love with the unkind night
Which bestowed misery upon me
Footsteps stopped
Without I knowing why?
Down on one knee
I grabbed small pebbles on side-road
Squeezed them to extend
Frail eyes could sense the pain
And muffed to hold it anymore
Without notice
They dripped the pain on the closed hand
That tear made me open my hand
And free those pebbles
It did hurt
Even after all what happened bypast
I glanced back and then ahead
A mirror image of road
An unwilling but satisfying smile
Gleaned on my face as I stood up
And begin walking on road anew
I walked on
Whispering to myself
It will always hurt the same way
So why worry what happened in the past
There's still road ahead of you!

Just a suggestion. Sorry for taking some liberty but you have a right to delete this comment.
Emullah::: Yeah I know what you're talking about ;)
Probably would've been better as a poem - but I still like it the way it is :)
And regarding the title, haha, well I was actually refering to that 'Road of life' we walk on. It finally ends one day - so 'timeless' wouldn't be the right choice for me. 'Road' was the first thing that struck my mind, so I went with it ;)
But I love your suggestions, they make perfect sense really. I won't delete this post of yours, you made an excellent point.
By the way, you deleted that post in the middle, let me just remove that ;-)
The road to nowhere..
I dont know if you know any Urdu, but this reminded me of an urdu verse the latter half of which goes something like this:
"Mujhay raastay may khabar howi, keh yeh raasta koi aur hai"
(very loosely) Translated:
I got to know halfway through my journey that this road goes someplace else...
nice post btw! :P
i love your tricycle, lol
xeb::: That's a very nice verse! I understand Urdu, don't worry ;) - and Thanks :o)
omair::: hahaha!

Gulzar
a song dedicated for you man...it fits just right here along with this photograph...by Coldplay..
When you try your best but you don't succeed
When you get what you want but not what you need
When you feel so tired but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse
And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can't replace
When you love someone but it goes to waste
Could it be worse?
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you
And high up above or down below
When you're too in love to let it go
But if you never try you'll never know
Just what you're worth
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you
Tears stream down your face
When you lose something you cannot replace
Tears stream down on your face
And I..Tears stream down your face
I promise you I will learn from my mistakes
Tears stream down on your face
And I..Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bonesAnd I will try
to fix you.
Gulzar::: Thanks a lot man. And Thanks for dropping by! Love the song - Coldplay rock ;)
